Back again for another year, the Church of St Mary Magdalene is hosting an all day summer camp for children.
Children 4-12 are invited to join us Monday, 28 August, to Friday, 1 September, from 9.00 am to 4.30 pm. Before and aftercare will be provided at no extra cost.
Our theme for this year is Rome – Paul and the Underground Church.
We will spend the morning time-travelling to first century Rome, to learn how the church got it’s start and how God’s love is with us always. The morning camp will feature rotating stations which include, drama, crafts, games and lots of interactive fun.
In the afternoons we will go out of doors and explore our own city. Trips include a visit to the Royal Ontario Museum to visit their Rome exhibit, and an excursion to Dufferin Groves Park to partake in an archaeological dig. Other afternoon activities will include large outdoor group games, a visit from a local historian and more!
Children should pack a lunch and a bathing suit as there is a wading pool close to the church.
Cost is $100. Financial assistance can be provided. Please contact the office administrator for more information at office[at]stmarymagdalene.ca.
