David worked for almost ten years as a policy advisor with the Government of Ontario, holding positions in both the Ministry of Intergovernmental Affairs and the Ministry of Finance. He is a member of the Diocesan Council and Executive Board, and the Doctrine and Worship and Postulancy committees. He is an accomplished musician and holds an A.R.C.C.O. diploma from the Royal Canadian College of Organists. Fr. David and his family enjoy living in the parish neighbourhood. His hobbies include duplicate bridge, playing the oboe, sailing, cross-country skiing, and local ecclesiastical history. Elisabeth Beattie, Parish Administrator
Born and raised in Toronto, Elisabeth has graduate degrees in English and Medieval Studies. She can read Latin, Old French, Old English and Middle English – which comes in handy at the Church of St Mary Magdalene! She earned her administrator’s stripes working at a busy law firm in Etobicoke, and is very pleased to be able to use the skills she developed there in the service of St Mary Magdalene’s. She reads voraciously on any topic available, enjoys obscure trivia, and sings. In her free time, she is an amateur photographer.
