The Gallery Choir

The Gallery Choir of the Church of Saint Magdalene is a group of highly skilled volunteers who sing every 11 am Mass. Special liturgies throughout the year include Tenebrae during Holy Week, Good Friday, and the Easter Vigil. The choir offers the highest quality of sacred music, both ancient and modern, but specializes in the repertoire of the high Renaissance, and the compositions of our own Healey Willan. The choir also offers concerts and keeps a very active performing schedule.

The Gallery choir was honoured to win first prize in the 2008 CBC Radio Competition for Amateur choirs in the Church Choir category. As a result of that success we have been asked to sing at Festival 500 in St. John's Newfoundland in July 2009.

All 30 spots in the choir are filled at the moment, but we are always interested in hearing auditions from experienced choral singers who love to sing this repertoire.. Contact Stephanie Martin.
