Teaching Music Through the Orff Method

St Mary Magdalene's is pleased to have an Orff group contributing music to the 9.30 a.m. and Folk Mass liturgies using xylophones, glockenspiels and percussion instruments. This group, led by Kim Kendrick, gives children the opportunity to learn music by producing it. Children learn to play simple, repeating melodies on instruments and offer this gift of music during worship. If you are interested in participating in Orff, speak with Kim Kendrick. Kim is a trained Orff instructor on Faculty at the Royal Conservatory of Music.
