Jean Françaix (1912-1997) was born into a musical family. From an early age he studied with Nadia Boulanger; she considered him to be her best student. His Communion comes from one of his only organ works, the Messe de mariage.

The Victorian composer and organist Sir John Stainer (1840-1901) was hugely popular during his lifetime. He was Organist of St. Paul’s Cathedral, and subsequently Heather Professor of Music at Oxford University. Gammal fäbodpsalm från Dalarna by Oskar Lindberg, played by Andrew Adair on the Salisbury Cathedral Hauptwerk sample set by Milan Digital Audio.

The Gammal fäbodpsalm från Dalarna, by Swedish composer, organist, and professor Oskar Fredrik Lindberg (1887-1955), is a setting of a folk song which was traditionally sung by women tending cattle and sheep in the mountains during the summer pasture. The tune is well-known in the region where Lindberg was born.
