St Mary Magdalene at SMM (for Children & Youth)
Fr David talks about one of our beautiful statues of St Mary Magdalene and why she looks so surprised, and explains why she's so important to our church.
Pentecost VII - 19 July 2020 - The Wheat & the Weeds
We celebrate the Seventh Sunday of Pentecost with a Sung Mass, and Fr David preaches about the Parable of the Wheat and the Weeds.
You can join us HERE. (The link will go active Sunday morning.)
If you would like to participate, you can find the leaflet HERE.
Thanks to Norah and Jo-Ann for leading the music at this service while our Music Director is on vacation!
Wheat and Weeds for Children & Youth
Fr David takes us out into the garden to see our new walkway, and to talk about weeds, and what it means when we are feeling "weedy".
Pentecost VI - 12 July 2020
We celebrate the Sixth Sunday of Pentecost with many familiar hymns! Mother Johanna preaches on the Parable of the Sower.
Thanks to Bruce Russell for playing the organ for us while our Music Director is on vacation, and to Jo-Ann Dawson for joining Rob Castle in the Ritual Choir.
If you would like to join us, the service is available HERE. (The link will go active Sunday morning.)
The leaflet is available HERE.
The Parable of the Sower for Children and Youth
Mother Johanna tells us the Parable of the Sower. What's a Parable? It's a kind of story, but one in which the story is actually telling us about something other that what it seems to be. When seeds are sown, where do they fall? And how well do they grow? And what does that have to do with the Kingdom of God?
Pentecost V - All Ages Mass (5 July 2020)
We celebrate the Fifth Sunday of Pentecost with an All Ages Mass. All Ages Masses are designed to be more accessible to children, and to involve them more directly in the liturgy. It’s a bit tricky doing that when we all have to stay home, but we think we did pretty well here!
Thanks to Fisher, for soldiering through a surprisingly tricky reading, and to Alice and Emmylou for leading the intercessions!
Thanks also to Norah and Jo-Ann for leading the music while our Music Director is on vacation!
You can find the service HERE. (The link will go active Sunday Morning.)
If you would like to participate, you can find the leaflet HERE.
