The Chapel Choir of Pembroke College, Cambridge with Anna Lapwood, Canada Tour 2025
CONCERT Friday, August 1, 7:30 pm
The Church of St. Mary Magdalene, Toronto, is delighted to host the Chapel Choir of Pembroke College, Cambridge, UK, and their director Anna Lapwood for an evening concert on Friday, August 1, 7:30 pm. Free General Admission Tickets are available here. Seating is first-come, first-served. (Suggested donation $40)
Please plan to show your tickets to our ushers at the door. Doors will open for General Admission at 6:45 pm. The concert is scheduled to begin at 7:30 pm. We strongly encourage you to arrive as early as possible. There are a variety of public transportation options nearby and the surrounding neighborhood is easily accessible by bicycle or by walking. Bikes may be locked in the bike rack on the Ulster Street side of the building. There is very limited street parking available near the church. The church is fully wheelchair accessible.
CONCERT PROGRAM
The program will include an expansive range of works by Lucy Walker, Elanor Daley, Jonathan Dove, Eric Whitacre, Bob Dylan, and more. Recordings of some of these pieces may be heard on Lapwood’s recent album Firedove (Sony Classical 2025) and All Things Are Quite Silent (Sept 2020) by the Choirs of Pembroke College, Cambridge.

The Pembroke Choir and Anna Lapwood will also join us for the 10:30 am service on Sunday, August 3, 2025.
