Remembering Our Former Rectors

Our mission at the Church of St. Mary Magdalene continues to advance what our previous incumbents championed - inspiring worship, thought-provoking sermons and teaching, and the role of music and liturgy in the deepening of religious experience.

Fr. Harold implemented the first sound system in the parish - now several decades ago. Donations in his memory have allowed for improvements soon to come, thanks to your generosity.

Fr. Eric was aware of the need to upgrade our decades old sound system and started the process to upgrade it Thanks to your generosity we can soon begin the first phase of upgrades.

Work Phases and Cost Estimates

1. Upgrades of microphones and transmitters, including extensive rewiring and installation: $25,189.

2. A manageable QSYS platform for integrated audio, video, and control, including equipment and supplies: $47,285.

3. Upgrades of speakers and amplifiers: $20,206.

4. Upgraded camera and streaming equipment: $38,615.

These estimates were provided by G.H. Grassby & Associates Incorporated, a firm specializing in the particular needs of places of worship. In all cases, usable current equipment will be retained.

With your help, we will improve our sound and video systems in several stages over a period of time. The improvements will offer better voice and music projection, both for those attending in person and online. The updates will also benefit our community partners that use our space for concerts, lectures, panels and readings,
