Life and Philosophy of St. Edith Stein

This final lecture is presented by Dr. Cole Sadler. Edith Stein was born in 1891 in Poland to a Jewish family and led an academic career in German philosophy before converting to Catholicism and joining the order of Discalced Carmelites. As a nun, she continued her philosophical writings with a focus on Christian spirituality until her martyrdom at Auschwitz in 1942. Dr. Cole Sadler graduated from the University of Toronto with a PhD from the Department for the Study of Religion, with a focus on philosophy of religion. He currently a candidate for ministry in the United Church of Canada in Vancouver. The Zoom details for this talk are:
